Jeanelle Memmel
Owner & Coach
Jeanelle is the proud owner of M&M Gymnastics. She has had extensive experience as a gymnast, coach and owner. As a gymnast, she spent three years at Swiss Turners, then went on to become a two time floor champion at State for Oconomowoc High School. She later went to Olympia Manor in Shreveport, Louisiana to train as an elite gymnast with other elite gymnasts such as Olympian Kathy Johnson. After training in Louisiana for three years, she earned a scholarship to Centenary College where her team won the national champion title two years successively. After college, Jeanelle became the director of Swiss Turners for six years and then opened her own gym with her husband, Andy in 1992. Currently, Jeanelle coaches a variety of girls teams as well as choreography for optional level floor and beam routines. Jeanelle is safety certified by USA Gymnastics.
Andy Memmel
Owner & Coach
Andy is the proud owner of M&M Gymnastics. He has had extensive experience as a gymnast, coach and owner. As a gymnast he began at Swiss Turners, then went on to Nicolet High School and later earned a full gymnastic scholarship to UW-Madison. He set many high school and college records on the floor. After college, Andy and his wife Jeanelle directed Swiss Turners for six years. In 1992 he and Jeanelle opened their own gym, M&M Gymnastics. Andy was the boys head coach at both Swiss Turners and here at M&M until 1998. He earned the Wisconsin Coach of Year award in 1997. In 2004, Andy began coaching his daughter Chellsie and the elite level girls team. He coached Chellsie to win the 2004 world cup finals, 2005 world all-around champion and was the 2006 head coach of the world team that earned a silver medal. In 2008, Andy coached Chellsie onto the Olympic Team where she earned a silver medal with the team. Currently, Andy coaches his daughters Skyler and Olympic and World medalist, Chellsie Memmel! He is safety certified by USA Gymnastics.

Mara has been around a gym all her life. Her parents, Andy & Jeanelle, are the owners of M&M Gymnastics. Mara blends her love for teaching young children with her extensive experience in gymnastics and dance. Mara trained at M&M for many years, and was a successful optional level gymnast. As a rhythmic gymnast, Mara studied classical ballet along with many other dance forms at M&M and the William Riley Studio of Dance. Mara also was a member of the M&M All Stars dance team along with her high school dance team. She is very proud of both of her sisters, Skyler and Chellsie, for all of their accomplishments in gymnastics! Mara is a USA Gymnastics Professional Member and is safety certified. She enjoys sharing her love for gymnastics and dance with everyone she coaches.

Kristyn

We are so excited to welcome Kristyn back to our M&M family! With over 20 years teaching and choreographic experience, she will be an exciting director for our rapidly growing dance program. Kristyn majored in dance at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. After college, she went on to enjoy a professional performance career in Chicago based contemporary company, Farrago, and the Bauer Contemporary Ballet, of Milwaukee. Her competitive dance groups have won multiple national titles and choreographic accolades. With a passion for teaching that starts with our littlest dancers, extending all the way up to the most advanced, she will be a positive guide for all she teaches.

Kim is not a new face at M&M. We feel lucky that she is not only a past student but a current instructor. She was a gymnast for seven years and has been an instructor here since 1996. Kim has a B.S. in Environmental Education and Interpretation from UW-Stevens Point. We are very happy to have Kim teaching girls recreational classes and team. She is a kind and patient instructor who has helped many new gymnasts reach their goals.

Mike trained at M&M for 11 years before becoming a member of our staff. While training at M&M, Mike was a two time all-around state champion and was also all-around champion at regionals. Mike is excited to share his knowledge of the sport with his gymnasts, and we are excited to have him as a member of our staff.

Brent brings with him years of coaching experience in both gymnastics and cheerleading. Brent coached at Swiss Turners, Midwest Twisters, Nathan Hale High School and Hartland High School before coming to M&M. He is USAG Certified and enjoys working with and improving the skills of gymnasts and cheerleaders.

We are pleased to have Gretchen at M&M Gymnastics coaching everything from preschool classes to team gymnastics. Gretchen trained at Milwaukee Turners for 11 years and coached there for several years as well. She was a member of the gymnastics team at Bay View High School and also competed at Indiana State University. Gretchen is a safety certified member of USA Gymnastics and has a son, Perry, who is currently on our Boys Competitive Team.

Angela has a long history with M&M, including 13 years of training! She is a former level 10 Junior Olympic National Qualifier who went on to be a very successful college gymnast at UW-LaCrosse. As a UW Eagle, she was part of the National Champion Team each of the 4 years she attended, as well as National Champion on beam in 2001 and an All-American on beam in 2004. She was the 2003-2004 WIAC Scholar Athlete. Angela is CPR and safety certified. We are glad to have her at M&M sharing her experience and cheer with our girls' teams.

Mackenzie is a former M&M gymnast of 14 years. She was a level 10 Junior Olympic National Qualifier who went on to do college gymnastics at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. As a UW-L Eagle she was part of the National Championship team 3 of her 4 years on the team. She won the WIAC Regional championship in the all around her freshman year and earned NCGA All-American honors on bars, beam, floor and the all around in her time as an Eagle. In addition she helped coach the Eagles to another National Championship in 2009. Mackenzie is CPR certified. She enjoys sharing her smile, love for the sport and experience with all the kids she coaches!

Brian has been involved in gymnastics for over 25 years. He competed for Waukesha South High School and Salto Gymnastics. In 1989 he coached at Desert Devils in Schottsdale, AZ where he helped train Jayce Phelps (member of the 1996 Olympic Gold Medal Team) along with three others who were on the U.S. National Team. In 1994 Brian joined out staff at M&M and coached our optional girls teams for seven years. From 2000-2002 he coached at Waukesha West High School where they won back to back State Champion Team titles. In 2003 he coached at Homestead High School and then came back to M&M in 2005. Brian attended Arizona Stat University and recieved his Marketing degree from UW Milwaukee.

Marla is a proud mother of three boys, daughter and a step daughter (Evan, Collin, Mitchell, Marissa and Samantha). Marla is one of our tot & recreational coaches. She is also a part-time professional hair dresser. We are excited to have Marla as a member of our M&M staff.
Lyndi

Lyndi has a great level of experience in gymnastics as both an athlete and coach. Lyndi trained at Salto Gymnastics for 10 years and then became a fifteen time All-American high school competitor for Brookfield Central. After graduating, she went to college at UW-Oshkosh and graduated with an abundance of titles including: fourteen time All-American gymnast, National beam champion in 1990 and a B.S. in Exercise and Fitness with a minor in Health Education. After college, she was the assistant coach at Bowling Green State University for two years. She also coached and directed at Swiss Turners for three years. Lyndi has coached many gymnasts between levels 4 and 10 who have been individual event state champions. She is safety certified by USA Gymnastics. Lyndi and her husband ,Kipp, have two children Jenna and Nathan.

Tami has been a member of our staff for over 17 years! She is an excellent teacher and coach who has taught an array of classes including girls, boys and pre-school as well as all levels of girls' teams. Tami began her gymnastics career at Swiss Turners where she was a club gymnast for six years competing as high level optional. She attended UW-LaCrosse where competed for their gymnastics team while earning a B.S. in Nuclear Medicine Technology. She is an All-American on the balance beam. She has had many successes in her gymnastics coaching career, including coaching individual and team State champions, Level 10 National qualifiers and Level 9 Western Championship qualifiers. Along with coaching at M&M, Tami also works as a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist and is a mom of son Peyton (level 7 boys team) and twin boys Brady (level 4 boys team) and Cade. Tami is safety certified and KAT certified by USA Gymnastics.

Teri graduated from UW-Whitewater with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Dance. Teri was a member of the Milwaukee Wave dance team from 2001-2003. She was very involved in the dance community at UW-Whitewater participating on the dance team as well as being involved with Dance Company. While on the dance team, she choreographed many innovative hip hop and pom routines. As a contributing member of the UW-Whitewater Dance Company she has taught many workshops to dancers from preschool through college-aged. Dance is a very important part of her life and she can't wait to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with all of you!

April was a successful gymnast here at M&M. She holds many accomplishments, including becoming a USAG National Qualifier and placing 4th at Level 10 regionals. After training at M&M, April went on to compete for the UW-Whitewater Warhawks and earned All-Conference honors as well as qualifying for the NCAA Nationals four times. She became an NCAA All-American and later became an assistant coach for the Warhawks before returning to M&M. April has a degree in Health and Human Performance with a minor in coaching. She enjoys sharing her knowledge of the sport with the girls she has the opportunity to coach.
